Conflict resolution

I help colleagues, teams, couples, families and friends find sustainable ways of relating. I draw on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and insights from the field of adult development.

My primary tool is mediation. Mediation can look different depending on the situation. Roughly speaking, it is about helping two parties or groups have a constructive conversation.

It is often possible to get further than we think.

Conflict resolution requires that we carefully approach the most difficult, most painful and most confusing aspects of a given situation. It is hard work, but it is necessary for the result to be something sustainable.

My job during a mediation is to ensure that we have a calm and safe environment, a slower pace, and solid support.

Coaching

How do we grow as individuals? In ways that are sustainable.

Perhaps we try New Year's resolutions. But soon we can be back in old patterns.

Sustainable change does not come from individuals being told, or telling themselves, what to do. It comes when we go through a process where we carefully look at all the aspects that need to be present for a decision to be genuinely grounded.

Coaching is one way to support individuals through this. By processing, we increase the chance that we come out the other side, fundamentally changed.
