Hi!
I'm Ricardo. I draw on Nonviolent Communication (NVC), adult development, and human-centred approaches. I'm based in Berlin. Originally from Sweden.
Right now I'm running an open NVC course in Berlin — every third Thursday. I'm also available for occasional mediation and for talks or workshops in nonprofit contexts.
For background and past clients, see About.
Mediation
I've mediated in criminal cases, and between colleagues, teams, couples, families and friends — drawing on Nonviolent Communication and adult development.
Mediation can take different shapes depending on the situation. Broadly, it is about helping two parties or groups have a constructive conversation. It is often possible to get further than we think. Conflict resolution requires us to approach the hardest, most painful aspects of a given situation with care. It is hard work, but it is what makes the outcome last.
When I mediate, my job is to make sure we have a calm and safe environment, a slowed-down pace, and solid support.
Training
Over the past decade I've trained groups in self-leadership, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, empathy and feedback — for municipalities, universities, companies and folk high schools across Sweden. Past clients on About; past public courses at Courses.
I'm open to invitations from nonprofit and community contexts.
Coaching
Popular culture often suggests that change comes from deciding to change. That's not how it works.
Change is a process — a movement, not a one-off decision. We cannot one-shot it. It takes patience, trust in the process, and learning to see process.
Seeing process is itself a capacity that arrives at a certain stage of adult development. Once it's there, the speed of our own development increases.
Coaching is one way to support that.
